Tell me about it. When I get in any car dealer's finance office, I feel like everything they say is trying to pull extra money for nothing from me - and 99% of the time, they are.
A while back when we bought my wife's VW, we had everything finalized and of course I had all the numbers written out and memorized, to the penny, and the guy tells me the monthly payments and they were off by like $50. When I said, hang on, something's not right, he said "oh, yeah, I went ahead and added in an extended warranty. That's just so common I figured you would want it." I got so mad I almost walked out - if not for my wife's pleading. Firstly, an extended warranty was never discussed so just adding it onto my bill was HIGHLY unethical and sleazy. Secondly, the warranty he added on was insanely expensive. Man, it gets me fuming just thinking about it.
