First Post from a first-time Porsche owner ...

Hello everyone,

It seems like I know most of you already. I was fortunate to find your web site in the Fall of 2005 in search for more Cayman S information. I struck gold (valuable info, numerous sincere advice and support) and got hooked to the site. What a great site!

I read all your threads and wanting more. I am in IT profession and turning data to assets is my specialty. I especially enjoy reading all "first drive" posts, and some of your personal and emotional feelings toward our beloved Cayman.

Like many of you, I had an early interest in Porsche cars and its philosophy of building the best sport cars. I loved Cayman S the very first time I saw it in publications (back in late summer of '05), then in person in Dec. '05. I thought about it all time. It seems like a long time ago.

What a car! What a beauty with those sinful curves.

But the true love came when I test drove the Cayman S. It's a beast, a controllable beast, that devoured all the curves/corners at ease. I can still remember the exhaust's happy notes and how good the brakes were.

I never thought that I could afford a Porsche; however, if I could afford a Porsche then it has to be a Cayman S. I have been working very hard and been very good, I kept saying to myself one day, one great day, your wife (thanks to my wife) will see your passion as hers.

That great day was Friday December 29th, 2006. I found my third love (the first was reserved for my wife and the second was reserved for my son) in a form of Guards Red Cayman S.

My wife and my son asked - Who's the lucky boy?! Now you know where I got my name.

She's in great hands and is adored by us. Will take pictures and report regularly.

Thanks for sharing your stories and it's my privilege to share mine.
