VERY BAD idea. Do not put hot water on an icy window.

All german cars do that little window trick.

If I know frost is coming, this might sound silly, and the car is outside, I'll put a beach towel over the windshield. Havent tried the driver side window yet but I might do that next time ... of course, a car cover does the trick
