I've commented several times on my incident with a woman pulling up and parking on top of my front bumper and leaving her car there like nothing happened.
The fact of the matter is that we get pissed because our cars are something special to us. That's why we drive them everywhere, even when we know there might be some risk to them.
Other people, who aren't car people, just don't get that. If someone tells you to lighten up because "it's just a car" is one of those people.
By the way, if someone hits your car and tells you that, I suggest smashing their windshield with a brick and telling them "lighten up - it's just a windshield."
