It might be "who" is providing the coverage. An independent insurance company that does this a core business might have a different price than insurance provided by the dealer. For example, I think I paid $500 for 5 years and the paperwork has the name of the overall corporation that owns a bunch of dealerships.
Got a flat, took it to the dealer ... everything done right there ... no hassles .... saved like $450 installed
Just about paid for itself within 3 months of buying ... woot.
