Santa Fe, too bad you couldn't make the PCA DE at Arroyo Seco last weekend.

A bit cold, but lots of fun. It rained Friday night, which cleaned the track. No rain or water on the ground by Sat a.m., but gusty winds (30 mph) and temps in the 40's on Saturday. Sunday was gorgeous, with no winds until after 2 p.m. and warm (60's) and sunny.

Besides the usual turnout of full-on race modified 914-6's and 911's, there were 996's, 997's, 986's, 2 Caymans (great to see you out there Barry!) as well as a race modified Pantera, an AMG twin turbo Mercedes, and a beautiful just barely broken-in GT3.

I put on 100 miles on the track Saturday, and 120 miles on Sunday. I know those numbers are right on, as the Exxon station is 1.5 miles away and I filled the tank/reset the trip each morning.

The fastest 914-6 was turning 1:22's on track tires, so I was VERY HAPPY with my 1:24's on road tires. I'm also happy to report NO SMOKE after installing Mantis Sport's sump extension and windage tray, no power steering problems after installation of the Mantis Sport crank underdrive pulley, and objective evidence of the claimed minimal bhp increase with the underdrive stealing less power -- my top speeds on the long straightaway was about 4-5 mph higher than my prior 4 days on this track!

SAR will be doing it again in September, and I strongly encourage people to attend.

Greg
