Gator Bite,
When I picked my new CS up 17 months ago, I noticed that it was very resistant to going into first gear. However, with use, It became much easier, and now after 13,000 miles of driving, it easily downshifts into first at 20 mph. Perhaps it needed a little breaking in. I don't know if you are experiencing the same issue, but it's something to consider.
