Sorry to hear about the trouble - it can ruin a day, that's for sure. If you've been reading the forums for a while as you said, then I'm sure you've read about similar problems. Odds are it's a bad slave cylinder. Do a search on "clutch" and you'll find oodles of stuff to read. It could also be a loose shift linkage cable, or the loose flywheel bolt problem, but the evidence points to a new clutch slave cylinder in your future.
