while I'm not sure what you mean by "hardcore," I voted for Ruf for a couple of reasons... first, I know Alois and his wife Estonia, and second, they are not really a "tuner," per se... they are officially recognized by Germany and all other countries as a bonafide manufacturer. They don't release any products before they're ready for prime-time, and they stand behind their work and products with ironclad warranties.
