Cheap Oil change....only $197 bucks!

Okay so this is SLIGHTLY misleading. Slightly.

I took my CS in for its first oil change at 4500 miles. I have read other threads about how to instruct the service adviser on JUST changing the oil versus doing a first service (cabin filter etc.). So I did just that. Now, add in a simple NC state inspection and waaaaala you have yourself a $197! invoice.

If anyone wants to see a PDF of the invoice, let me know.

It says 9 quarts of oil at $8=$72. One hour of labor at $90, some dollar for the filter, $2.00 for the seal....and I forget how much for the inspection.....something like $50.

I paid it, because I was in a hurry and was REALLY late. But once I settled down.....I thought I would let everyone else know the going rate.

I am pretty blown away. I guess I got used to that full coverage warranty on the BMW where its all covered.
