I always run with the doors unlocked. I've read over the years about failed rescue attempts due to first to the scene rescuers (typically passing citizens who saw an accident) not being able to open doors and pull victims from vehicles.... sure, professionals have the tools to bust windows, etc. but they can be a long time in arriving. I'd like to see a system when the doors auto lock until you're at speed...say 25mph or so...allowing safety to exit dark parking structures, etc... re-lock for stops, signs, stop lights etc (thwart car jackings)...(system needs to be smart enough to know an accident is different than a traffic stop) then unlock at speed again...
Any creative geniuses out there?

Well that's what is nice about their product, any one of the features can be individually enabled or disabled, don't like the lock-in feature, then disable it.

BTW, I've seen stats that show you are better off to have your doors locked in an accident to help prevent someone from being thrown out of a vehicle, so I'm sure it's those lies, damn lies and statistics again...
BTW the factory change to the trunk delay was instituted last year and newer Caymans have it already, it was a change from I think around 400ms to 790ms or something of that nature, but still less than a 1 second delay, whereas the
Mods4Cars solution is about a 4sec delay.
