Please excuse such a small question, but I have been wondering about this.

I just got my CaymanS 2007 about a month ago and love it except for a problem with the 3rd gear syncho (I'm getting a whole new transmission tomorrow).

Anyhow, I have a friend that has a Carerra S with the sport package on it. There is a sport button on the dash that when pushed, puts the car in sport mode and among other things, makes the exhaust sound deeper and fuller. I know this is an option for the Cayman S, but what actually changes on the exhaust that changes the consistency of the sound?

Can you modify a Cayman S without the sport package to sound like this?
