UK Dealer Autoglym treatment and Gap insurance??

Just wondering whether anyone had gone for these offers - and do you think they're worth it?

Autoglym Treatment:

The dealership staff apply stuff on the car inside and out and they reckon it forms a 10-year protective barrier so you don't need to wax the car again. On the inside it makes all the surfaces water-repellent so spills are very easy to clean up.

Cost is £295 I think. You also get some Autoglym cleaning materials.

My initial thought is - probably a good idea, albeit an expensive one.

Gap insurance:

Pay about £700 for three years's worth of cover. If your car is declared a writeoff, or is stolen, the Gap insurance enables you to buy a brand-new replacement (identical spec or value of your car) rather than just getting current market value at the time of writeoff/theft from your normal motor insurance.

My initial thoughts - no thanks.

I was only told about these last Sat when I paid the rest of the money for my car, and I'm being asked to make a decision ASAP - any views, anyone? Thoughts appreciated.
