I just made the exact switch you are talking about, '03 Boxster S to '06 Cayman S, man what a difference,I'm ecstatic with the Cayman. Dont miss the convertible, dont miss the rattles. I have owned a number of Boxsters and Boxster S since '99 (#4, 3 of them S) before that I owned a Supra double turbo ('93). The acceleration of the Cayman is the same as the Supra only smoother. The 320 hp Supra would be a bit weak at first and then when the first turbo would catch on, hold on, because soon after that the second turbo would kick in and ,the best word to describe the acceleration isfrantic. The Cayman with ,similar or better numbers to 60 depending on who you read, has more torque at the very bottom and ,while not frantic, gets the job done. I for one do not regret the switch one bit. Frankly I've been missing this kind of acceleration since my Supra.

Cheers
