For insurance purposes NO timing can be done at PCA DE events in ANY region. That being said, just having Sport Chrono doesn't mean you are using. What most regions say is that they discourage the use of timing equipment and if they see you using it you will get into trouble, that being said, using Sport Chrono can be done without anyone outside the car seeing it and they know it so they let it slide, there is no ban on cars with Sport Chrono. I wouldn't run around the paddock bragging about using it unless you know the host for the event has insurance that allows it.
