I test drove 2 CS's one with and one without a short shifter. Liked the short shifter much better. Yes it feels somewhat mechanical and not as smooth as a longer throw, but you have very definitive shifts, and a much shorter stick movement.

I am told that dealers can NOT order them for inventory and can only get them as customer ordered options going forward. I guess there as many folks that do not like them as do.
