Personally I have a 2.7 liter Cayman and installed a Porsche short shifter earlier this year. I had it in the car for about a month and had to remove it. In my opinion the short shifter is certainly not for everyone and based on my experience the short shifter is not a good match for the 5 speed gearbox.
