Anyway the Plenum is not that perfect. At the junction point inside there are 2 holes and a cutaway, presumably from the mold tool. Ideally they should not be there.

I think your presumption about un-ideal design and the two holes inside the
plenum is incorrect. There are indeed two holes bored through the septum that is cast into the
IPD plenum's body. The septum is present to induce equal flow to each half (left and right) of the manifold while the two holes in the septum are present to allow pressure balance between the two flows!
