That's happened to me a few times over the winter whenever my car is parked for over a week. It's as if the key lost power, I then open it manually which sets off the alarm, yet the remote can defeat the alarm. No explanation......is the battery in the key fob a rechargeable?....that recharges when in the ignition switch? I thought of this because BMW's keyless start remote requires charging via ignition switch once in a while.
