Good advice, of course. I was posting for two reasons:

1) I was hoping some other CS (and perhaps C--I'm not sure if the clutch is the same) owners would go out, jump in their cars, and see if this is "typical".

2) I had a master BMW tech (friend) feel the issue tonight, and he agrees that it is weird. He has little experience with P-cars, and is not sure if it is a problem or just excellent transmission of mechanical feedback and the increased sensation is the clutch "breaking in" (though he states that usually that happens in the first several hundred miles). I don't particularly want to waste the dealers time (nor look like an idiot) so I was hoping for some theories on what it might or might not be.

Allowing that, I would imagine a trip to the dealer is in my future.
