i find it to be that way across the board, actually. i have offered friends rides in the car, and they do not even care for a spin around the block, let alone to hear my spiel of adoration. my Mum and Sisters are way more excited about the car than most of my male friends. let's not generalize.
sometimes i get the gas-station inquisition - "How fast does this car go?" or, "That must have cost your husband a pretty penny." - but mostly it is "D4mn! That is one hot car!"
