I could understand $5k, but NINE GRAND?!?!? When you compare this to the $3k option price for the same seats, only two explanations come to mind; Either
1) They have very limited production capacity/supply of these seats and so they want discourage retrofits, or
2) they are trying to incent their hard-core trackday customers to trade-up to newer cars.
