There was plenty of skidpad work

Intended or not, since it was raining all day long, 45F temp, and most of us on summer or R-comp tires that were hard as rocks. There was plenty of sliding and spinning at the beginning, but by the end we were recovering and correcting our mistakes much much better.
Instructors made the event an absolute success. What a talented bunch!!!!
They had us separated in groups by what kind of vehicle we had (RWD, AWD, and FWD). Instructors also tried to take students who drove same or very similar cars to what the instructors knew the best.
I have had the pleasure to watch instructors I had compete in previous events, so getting seat time with someone you admired was just awesome.
Those guys could have been racing that day with the rest of the pros on the other side of the venue, but they chose to teach instead. I have a whole new level of respect for those gents.
