Since 18's are available as a factory option on the 2.7 I believe that he is allowed to use them in AS.
I remember looking for light-weight 18's in the factory sizes a while back, and couldn't find any. I just checked on Vivid Racing and notice that Fikse has some (Profil 5) - don't know how much they weigh, but at $1100 each
they better be pretty light.
If price is important, you might just want to stay with the OEMs (or buy some take-offs if you need another set). Are you going with wider rubber on them?
