I think there will be only 5 Porsche in the 24hr this year; 2 LMP2s and 3 GT2 cars. None will have a chance of an overall win, and the GT2's are up against 8 faster Ferrari's so will have a job even to win their class.

This is the weakest line-up and LM for decades, it makes me weep - what will the brand mean in 20 years? Irrelevant overpriced SUV's and luxury 4 door saloons?

However, if you wait a few weeks, heads over to Le Mans for the Classic 24hrs. Wall to wall Porsches from 356's and 550's to 904, 906, 908, 917s and the big banger 935's. It doesn't attract the p*ss head fans and its a much better experience all round - and I've been to the 24hr more than 15 times.
