My Cayman bled to death........

actually it didn't die but I had to put her to sleep or it would have................

I was driving on the highway saturday when after 45 mins of trip the low coolant level warning came on.
At first I thought that it may have simply reache dthe minimum but when I stopped to check at the first emergency area I noticed blood dripping from the front left corner.......
I managed to reach the first gas station a few km down the road and sadly called the assistance wich sent me a truck for towing.....meanwhile the red liquid (yes my coolant is red) slowly but inevitably stained the gas station pavement. It really lokked like it had been stabbed in the back, actually under the belly.....

It turns out that a hose unclamped itself near the front left radiator.

I was also told that it's been seen especially on 997 tt lately...... apparently the clamps come loose....what surprises me is that he has to order a new hose as well.....hmmm I'll check it out when I'll pick up the car......

Bad thing is that I was driving too a friends wedding some 300 km from home and I actually missed it, I only managed to get there at 9 pm.

By the way I wasn't given any sort of courtesy car as on the weekends the rentals are closed except for airports which were out of reach for my destination. I would have had to pay for the rental anyway, they only offered me a train ticket to get back home.......

No comment.....
