I've been through this with dealers and PCNA before with my Boxster:

1) Visit one - "cannot reproduce"
2) Visit two - rattle is not fixed
3) Visit three - PCNA regional manager declares the car is working "as designed" meaning Porsche will not pay for any further rattle-related repairs.

I can scan the letter PCNA sent me in 2003 regarding my Boxster's rattles if you'd like proof.

When it comes to rattles, except for people with exceptional service departments or those who just get lucky, the only way they get fixed is if you track them down and alleviate them yourself.

Sad, but true in my experience.
