I track my CS Tip in manual mode all the time. I spend most of the track in third gear, if you keep your momentum up you'll rarely have to downshift to second except on the tightest of turns. There are some track sections where I have to watch that the RPMs don't get into redline territory in order to keep the Tiptronic from automatically shifting into fourth gear just as I am entering the braking zone for a turn. On the straights I just let the transmission decide when to shift into fourth. I guess I have never been on a track with a long enough straight to get into fifth.
