One of my favorite driving roads is Route 97 from Port Jervis (near Rte 84) to Hancock (near Rte 17.) I drove this scenic route on the way back from Watkins Glen a couple of weeks ago, and had the road to myself most of the time. Since it follows the Delaware River, and there are many canoe rental launch points along the way, Saturday might not be the best day for a ride (unless you get going early enough to avoid the traffic.)
