Air Conditioning Eruption

I jumped in my CS and turned on the A/C and drove about 20 feet when I started to hear a loud hissing sound. It took a second until I started to see white "smoke" coming from the in front of the windsheild. I pulled over and popped the trunk, removed the plastic battery cover and there was freon spraying everywhere! When it stopped I drove the car home and for the first mile I was getting freon out of dash vents! Obviously the A/C no longer blew cold air. Not fun with black on black during a Charlotte 95 degree heat wave. Funny thing is I am pretty sure I jinxed myself. One hour before this happenend I told my wife how happy I am with our first Porsche, it was everything that we expected as far as quality and fun. (I owned an Audi before this and it was the biggest pile of **** I have ever owned)

I made an appointment for repair and the dealer replaced the high pressure switch for the A/C and an o-ring. While she was in for the service I had the hatch "thunk" repair done as well. Now I'm back in business and loving this car. Hopefully, she will stay out of the shop for a little while.

The work was done at Hendrick and for my money Scott White is best service manager I have ever dealt with. Also, if anyone is in the market for a new Cayman, Hendrick has a gorgeous black CS in the showroom with the aero package, turbo wheels, painted center console and the sport chorno. It is the one of the best looking Cayman's that I have seen yet.
