I've had the
Mods4cars module in my car since October of '06, and it's been to several dealers (mostly the one in Las Vegas, but others as well) and I never turn it off, and no one has ever mentioned it... I don't think you have anything to worry about. Since I was used to the "non-chirp" on the last two late-model Porsches I've had, I got it for the passenger-side rear-view mirror dip while in reverse - really saves on the curb rash when parallel parking.
