I stop wrapping my headers after ruining two sets of headers (different cars, one with SS headers), the thermal wrap works and looks good but also trap moisture between the wrapping and the headers itself.

After removing both sets "litteraly in pieces" I vowed never to use it again, hey but that's just me...
Thanks for the heads-up. It's a design issue, one of the bend gets real close to the water line for engine cooling. As a precaution, my mechanic suggested that I should thermal wrap the headers. Would it help if I change the thermal wrap from time to time?
