Total Electronic Melt Down

Got into my car, started it up and noticed the radio said PROTECT. Uh oh, somehow radio went into theft protection mode. Called dealer to see if there was a simple code I could enter. No go, have to bring it in. Oh well.

Get ready to drive and then notice much bigger problem -- dash is dead. No lights, needles all sit at zero, no turn signals, no brake lights, nothing works. But engine is running fine.

Off to the dealer. Just my luck, two different police cars pull behind me. Glad I remembered all those old hand signals.

Made it to the dealer in one piece (no small task in Rockville MD traffic at rush hour).

Any guesses as to the problem?

(Unlike Ken, I'll give you the answer. )

Turns out, the master connector to the dashboard wasn't properly latched and apparently pulled out killing everything. Simple push and relatch by the tech and all was well.

Just documenting for the next person who might have that problem.
