That Toyota V6 is mounted transverse in the Camry, which makes it really compact in the fore-aft direction. I can see them fitting it right on top of the rear axle and still putting "seats" of some kind in front of it.
They're saying the Eagle is faster around the 'ring, but that could have a lot to do with just having more engine. The Exige is still mostly limited by the Toyota 4-banger powering it on a track with long straights (although it eats autocrosses for breakfast). Still wondering how the Eagle will stack up against the CS -- in track times, comfort, and price.
