It was quite a shock going from a base cayman loaner for 3 days back to a CS with mods(315 HP). You may want to really think this one out before doing anything.

Yeah. I definitely will drive one first, and I have the benefit of hopping right back into mine to go home for a good comparison. Private will likely be the way to go, though the prices I'm seeing from some of these dealers and the amounts that they're willing to take off are in my ballpark so far.

That's a great question to ponder. I'm thinking the difference would be the MSRP diff, which is $10K. I'm thinking for "equivalently-used" base and S Caymans, the difference would be at least that, $10K.
Again, still just looking for anyone who may have actually done this.
