I have literally hundreds of days there over the years, even on the old track! I had been running consistently in the 1:56's on my RA1's but could not get much faster than that. yesterday was a low 1:54 and I think there is more to come. I do my best work when I have a good rabbit to chase or am being chased by a faster car.
Wow, nice! I'd move there in a heartbeat if I could figure out a way to make a living....

The fast GT3s (club racers) and a few home-builts (911-RS-whanabees) were in 1:52-land on Hoosiers, so you're right in the hunt, my friend. My J Prepared BMW 2.8 litre (230 crank) was steady at high 1:57s, whereas the class leaders (built motors, etc.) were hitting mid to upper 1:52s, which was discouraging to say the least! That pushed me over the edge into a spec class (192 crank) starting last year. Now the class record is barely 2:00...but we're all the same and saving a TON of dough! I will admit, thou, it's tough getting into a slower class....
