I don't think this has been published in CC before but Minichamps is producing a 1:43 scale Cayman in red and will be producing a white version starting in 2008 - I think this model should be better than what is presently offered by Maisto in 1:18 or what Porsche has been offering in 1:43 to date (I don't think they were Minichamp - pls correct me if I have that wrong - which has a better reputation for quality). There is also a Hanover airport version to be produced - K-Man - it's in yellow and black checkers!
The last time I landed there they had this one. Airport Operations gave out these stickers. I'd like to have a CS sticker if they actually use it as a follow me.
I've got the red Mini Champs; picked it up at a booth at the Petite LeMans in the fall.
Red, gray interior with sport seats. Doors, hood, trunk do NOT open, but it's nicely done.
Regards,
You're right - the red Minichamps looks like it was previously issued with the white version coming out early in '08. The airport version looks like it is new also.
Not sure why this was moved to automotive off topic, it's about Cayman's and we be chatting about them......just the smaller ones!
Anyway, I see there is now a 1/43 scale Cayman 'Porsche Design' model released also. It's almost like the flood gates have opened on Cayman models, in comparison to the first two years!
