The Japanese have done this with just about every "super" car they have brought to market. 300zx turbo, last Supra, last gen RX-7, etc.....just turn up the boost a bit, a little ignition tweak and bingo!....instant Porsche beater. Problem is, pick one off the showroom floor and mysteriously they don't often come close to those great published numbers. I don't think I have ever seen Porsche do something similar.
