Aside from the general stereotype, has anybody, honestly, ever pulled a chick / got laid purely on the basis of the car they drive?
(Before any undue criticism is levelled at me, I have bought my Cayman simply becauseI took one look and thought I have to have one (roll on Jan). That said, if any young ladies wish to avail themselves to me beacuse of it, who am I to fail to oblige...)
With respect, I would suggest that this website provides a forum for people with a common interest (i.e. the Porsche Cayman), to pass time and have some laughs? Much the same as any other chatroom/forum site in fact. If you don’t like the subject matter of a topic of discussion, then don’t join the discussion. I would proffer that my topic of discussion was not offensive, lest a lighthearted look at other aspects of ownership.

I have to agree ......... lighten up guys .This topicbrings back fond memories of my 1961 Corvette back in 1964 when I graduated from High School. I was just a tall drink of water but that car made me a movie star
I think the cayman S'exy' is every bite as cool in this day and age as the convertible vette was back then! The only problem now, is I'm a rather robust (nice word for fat) old man and nothing is going to help me. Good thing my wife of 36 years is blind and still thinks I'm that movie star of old
Haha this is a funny post. I also think the occasional light hearted thread is harmless as long as it isn't over board. And here is my answer. My Boxster S did attract a lot of attention from young ladies in cars next to me, but then it could just be because I am a 30 year old young stud and not a fat old man. Too bad I am married and have every intention of sticking to my vows. But in all seriousness, I quick survey of my lady friends (all in mid to late 20's) seem to indicate that they are put off by guys in Porsches as they are associated with being playboys. But then again these girls are all indepently wealthy so why would a Porshce be attractive to them?

Do me a favor ....... I have two sons one is 30 the other 20, neither is a Porsche driver. Can you hook a fellow Cayman Club member up. I am tired of paying their bills, maybe these independlately wealthy girls ( I am asuming they arn't too old) would like to take one or both off my hands
Glad to see there are some enthusiasts out there who have warm blood pumping through their veins in addition to petrol...
A buddy of mine recently backed out of buying his Cayman in favour of a more sedentary (but very nice) brand spanking new luxury sedan. The girl he was dating at the time liked his choice of motor, but did question his logic in his choice of car (he is not married, no kids etc). When he asked what she meant, her response was that 'becauseevery girl wants to ride in a Porsche' (no pun intended)...
I have no problem with light-hearted posts like this as long as we keep them light-hearted, refrain from name-calling, etc. With cars still a few months away we need to have something to kill the time with so an occassional light-hearted deviation is OK in my book.
Now to answer your question - Yes, but back in my single days, married now and would never consider breaking my vows! Was it me or the car or the whole package? I don't know, and don't care, it was fun!
i used to pull girls in my astravan(vauxhall van) when i first passed my test. but that is because god blessed me (lol). now i am getting a cayman i am married, and i had a hard job to convince my wife to lose the extra seats and go back to 2. so in reply to the topic, imo this car is purely for the drive and because of its mid engine there is no way the seats will recline....
