Great pictures, Doc. I'm a private pilot, single engine land certified,VFR. I would guess from your post you are probably at least that and much more. This is my thought: if the Cayman S were an airplane, it would be a P-51 Mustang, with updated electronics of course. What do you think?

Thanx LA BOY...Am sorry. dont have a licence to fly the skies (as yet), only the down-to-earth roads am afraid.....But yes, am an airplane enthusiast.....And this being my first air show; exhillarance knew no bounds...!!!!

Emm...Comparing the CS to a plane...Thts difficult.....

Ideally since the CS is an example of excellent german engineering, I would go more in favour of the ME-109...But then I saw this pic of the P-51 Mustang chasing the ME-109....And changed my mind...hmm...

However, the P-51 despite being a great WW-2 fighter, I am a bit biased.....Thus would go for the Brit SPITFIRE....!!! There is a snap of the Spitfire in flight at the air show...

But the great moment of bliss, was when I saw the Lancaster bomber take flight at the show....I believe itis only one of the 2 remaining bombers in existence....

The best display was put up by the MIG 29....Followed by the Eurofighter Typhoon.....Sadly, the Americans were a bit conservative with their moves...

What really took my breath away was the Italian 'Apache look-alike'...Never had even heard of the A 129, until then....

What I had really hoped for was to see the Sukhoi 31 in action....But it was not to be...Maybe next time...

If you notice carefully you might see me in thecockpit of theIndian ALH (Advanced Light Helicopter)...My cousin brother is a test pilot, hence got the oppurtunity...I got told off for focussing the FLIR (Forward looking Infra-red turret) lens at the bottom of a pretty lady in the sidelines...Ha.

Good pics DOC. Wish I could have been there. I think the Advanced Light Helicopter you are referring to may be the RAH. Recon Attack Helo.... but then again the Army is coming out with both a Recon one and a Light one. I think the light one is basically a suped up Bell 407.

Doc your pics in your second topic aren't showing up, looks like the website where you got them removed them? (or moved them) Can you repost updated links?

Ever been to an air race like the ones in Reno? Modified P-51's thundering around pylons is one of the most impressive sights I've ever seen/felt.

Great pictures! I heard news about the V-22 Osprey at this show. Must have been great to see them in action. Thanks!

Kim..The Osprey was awesome...Tilt rotor and stuff...a remarkable engineering feat.....Heard it took over 15 yrs in production and deployment into the airforce....The chaps beside the Osprey were very helpful...

I'd love to take you up on that and hope to make it there sometime. We're getting ready for Oshkosh up here, which is a mixed 'blessing' for me. Its a great airshow, but a lot of the planes stop at the airport we opperate out of and it great to see them. I've alsohad some 'issues' over the years with how some of them forget we operate out of there all year and seem oblivious to the fact there are other (usually faster) airplanes flying out there too. If you like warbirds and classic aircraft you have to come to Oshkosh sometime.
