The V8, was designed to take on the 911, and it didn't quite do it, but hey its an Aston (James Bond) etc. Trouble is lots of 'city traders types'brought them. They though they swan about for a few months in them and than sell on with a profit.
Sadly not, first the build Q is more Lotus than Porsche and surply has caught demand. Its all very sad, but for Gods sake by a car to drive and enjoy, yes you need to think about resale but DRIVE AND ENJOY THE BLOODY THING!
There have been VERY few new cars that have appreciated in the past few years, and not to many where you get the money out that you paid. Look at the Carrera GT.

Is that 35mph corner 45, 55 or a ..... corner?
i agree with the buy it and enjoy idea, but a friend of mine did by a Z06 last year for MSRP and when he went to pick it up was offered 10K over that. Even after driving it for a month a guy in the corvette club was willing to pick it up for big chunk over MSRP. Long term though there arent many autos that will sell for more than you paid for them....especially if you figure in inflation.

Oh yeah, I think the house comes with the orange one
I dunno. I read the ad, and think the seller wants $700K for just the car. Either that orange paint was really, really expensive, or the seller is smoking some goooood stuff....
IMO, it needs more than just one-off paint to be worth twice a "normal" car.
I believe the seller is actually hoping (must be on crack) to get more than $700K, that was the maximum price the ad would take, but they're accepting bids.

It's a car, not an investment.
An investment is something you do to be able to buy the car.
Then drive it like it is meant to, and deal with the consequences.
That means tear and wear, tires, brakes, gas.
So, because of that, event though I paid 3x what I should have (because of the Nisse communist government in Norway), in the end, it will even out.
(For some reason, my little kroko uses nearly as much gas as the shark.. imagine that.. )
