O.K. I don't go to movies much but the local buzz is this guy is renting a place a mile or less away from me while filming a movie just below my place in the Bureau of Land Management area that backs up to me. It is a western called 3:15 to Yuma (I think I saw that as a kid?). They needed extras and I was considering taking the horse down there until they had an accident that killed a horse and severely injured a rider so that did it for me. Anyway the converstation about this guy is fairly negative but I don't know why.
Did you ever see Gladiator or Master and Commander or Virtuosity? He's played in lots of movies, he's an Aussie. Some of his stuff I like, some I don't. Don't know anything about the man personally.
He's been in the news a lot because he's giving a bunch of interviews for his new movie coming out. He did some ****-ish things recently, and he's saying something like how hard it will be to shake that, like he's not that bad of a guy...
But a friend of mine met him back in the day when he was filming 'Mystery, Alaska', before he was super-huge. Her assessmet: Total Azzhole.
Good actor, VERY well known. The buzz is that he is difficult to work with and a Jack Arse.
If you can be an extra that would be cool knowing that the movie won't be a second rate movie, it will be a huge worldwide release because he is a "BIG" actor. Don't you want to become famous?
He is a New Zealander that now resides in Sydney. Actor by profession. He is supposedly a pretty down to earth guy that likes to brawl, drink, swear, get fat, shag anything half decent, and loves Rugby of course (like 99% of NZ men).
My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next.
Appears he has had his vengence by throwing things from the scuttlebutt. Anyway there seems to be a lot of "interesting cars" in the area as a result at the moment.

He was a paranoid schizophrenic professor at Princeton who won the Nobel Prize in economics.
Agree. Crowe played John Nash beautifully, especially in Nash's later years; mild mannered and very humble. True to the real person and certainly a beautiful mind. FYI, John Nash had two sons, one who earned a PhD. in mathematics (as did his father) and who also has schizophrenia.
