GTEK PRO SS Help Please

Does anyone know of another performance gauge like this? I like the features, but I cannot stand the color of the LCD! I called them and they are not changing it anytime soon. I would like to know if there are any other choices?

Thanks Russ

For race track, I would get a DL1 or G2X.

How do these devices work if they do not hook up to the Car? Just curious, I know nothing about them, and have not found any good exspla. on the vendors site.

Thanks!! I like that FX2. Will look into it further along with Escort. I just want to be able to have a acurate way of timing my 0-60 and 1/4 runs.

Basically, the G-Tech and other similar devices use built-in accelerometers. Once you enter a few basic pieces of data about your car, such as vehicle weight and tire size, the unit can use the data from its accelerometers to calculate horsepower (F = M A), quarter-mile times, etc.

Russ,

Here is the link for the Escort. What ever you do, don't try Escort.com or you will totally lose control of your PC and if your wife walks in you'll have a lot of explaining to do.

http://www.escortradar.com/gtimer.htm

The Escort and Bel units are virtually identical. (same company)
