That looks neat, but I would think it would be rather pricey since it requires cell reception to work. In addition, it will need a good amount of adoption before it truly benefits drivers. Down here in Memphis, I won't hold my breath for it to catch on. In CA this would be nice.

By the way, my Nuvi 660 gets traffic here from FM and it works great. I can avoid accidents and traffic without issue.

Dash just started taking pre-orders for $599 and charges $12.99 per month. The finished product is now on the site and looks quite interesting.

$400 on Amazon plus $12/month?

The problem with this is that you need other people to buy from the same company. With all the OEM GPS and all the aftermarket GPS, what are the odds on getting enough cars on the road to have statistically significant data? Lots of luck with that.

IMO. Great concept, poor in practice (unless they get all the other GPS makers to share data in real time).
