Wheel CLeaning Question

Posted 11-04-2008 at 09:41 PM by Ed Merry
After I wash the car and the wheels, different buckets and mitts for each, I dry the car. Later after driving it, I find a rusty and dirty colored ring between the inner and outer beeds on the inside of the wheel. Probably from brake dust and rust inside the slotted rotor. slung out as I drive

THis ring emerges regularly. How can I avoid/fix this dirty ring. ??

It washes off easily but is unsightful jsut after I have cleaned the car. Thanks. Ed

Does a Cayman ever get above 175 degrees ?

Posted 10-14-2008 at 01:18 PM by Ed Merry
Does the temperature gauge ever get above 175 degrees F? Last Friday I spent my first day of DE and after a half hour of hard driving, still just 175 degrees. That is the same as when I casually drive in our neighborhood just a few blocks. The tires were hot, the brakes, very hot, I was tired but the car only said 175 degrees. Huh ?? Ed

PSAM Question

Posted 09-24-2008 at 09:33 PM by Ed Merry
I know PASM drops ride height about 1/4 inch, 10 mm, and I can feel the suspension stiffen up with PASM engaged But I have a question. .

Engine running, car level in my garage. I measure the clearance between the open door sill and the floor.

Question: If I select PASM Sport, should that same clearance be 10mm lower? THoughts please. Thanks. Ed

How do you have car numbers on your CS that stay on during a Drivers Education and don't mar the paint?
