How do you have car numbers on your CS that stay on during a Drivers Education and don't mar the paint?

There are several websites that sell reusable vinyl numbers with a low tack adhesive that is strong enough to stay on at DE speeds, but easy to remove and reuse several times (if you keep them clean). Try Solotime or iZoom Graphics. Magnetic numbers are okay for autocross, but probably won't reliably stay on at high speed. Andrew |

DE Numbers I printed up numbers and then ran them thru the laminator. After a bunch of DEs I was tired of using blue painters tape and have now attached a 1/2" wide strip of adhesive backed magnetic tape all around the perimeter of the sheet, with a little extra piece in each corner and the middle. I was a little worried how well they would stay, but at Sebring a couple weeks back, hitting 125 they held in place without problem. |
