PSAM Question

I know PASM drops ride height about 1/4 inch, 10 mm, and I can feel the suspension stiffen up with PASM engaged But I have a question. .
Engine running, car level in my garage. I measure the clearance between the open door sill and the floor.
Question: If I select PASM Sport, should that same clearance be 10mm lower? THoughts please. Thanks. Ed

As I understand it, no. The PASM suspension is 10mm lower than the stock suspension. It does not actively lower the car when turned on, it simply (though there's nothing simple about it!) stiffens the suspension settings.

This is from our FAQ section:
"There is a widely understood misconception that a PASM equipped car will lower itself by 10mm when the PASM button is pressed. This is a misunderstanding and has been quoted by many automotive journalists. PASM equipped cars are always 10mm lower than cars equipped with standard suspension. Their ride height never varies." I often wish that I had gotten PASM - sometimes I think the wheel clearance on my car looks like an SUV compared to a PASM Cayman. ![]() |
