C.Shultz had this wonderful reoccurring skit which consisted of Snoopy dancing around in bliss at the mention of suppertime -
...this is what i've been doing inside since my first AX run about ten hours ago. my mind swarms with Porsches, ears tweak with the scream of tires, and every part of my body is vibrating. sweet.
but also, enough already - time to relax - eeep!
to ease my mind's swarm i will list some AX related thoughts:
- breathe
- not just apex silly, but late apex.
- hello, dead pedal!
- no really, start breathing
- holding on to the wheel tighter is not going to pull the car through a turn, nice try.
- not only the driving, but the ride - hoozah!
- break on the straights, steer through the turns, then floor it! ...are you flooring it?
- the most exciting thing i have done in a car, ever.
- not only knocking over cones, but murdering them.
- gas! BREAK! gas! break! BREAK! wide! gasgasgas! BREAKbreakbreak!
- Lottie was grinning wheel to wheel. so were we.
- driving skillz - i haz them! well, not really, but i feel more confident!
- slalom? bless me.
- beez driving the Targa - hardcore!
- truly once you have a taste, its all over. can we come back tomorrow? please?
- are you breathing yet?
and also some not particularly related thoughts:
- my finger smarts, still. really, if your dog nips at people you should warn them (especially if they ask if they can pat your dog first) - and when they nip, apologize. sheesh.
- helmets can be sexy, indeed.
- reoccurring vs. recurring - both words may be used interchangeably. when will wonders cease?
- there were bees there. i forgot how disturbing they are until i thought i had one in my ear. ugh.
- after dropping the Cayman off at home i took out the SAAB to pickup the pup - my driving has changed. i noted differences in my usual steering arc (that crazy apex again?) as well as my legs/hand moving faster in the shift. poor cars.
- never did get someone to drive Lottie with her B&M *sigh*
- turkeys can drown if they open their mouths upward during rain, wha?
- new tires in July? and once/yr? need to find a hobby that pays me. cr4p.
- portaJohns that rock are funny for about 5 seconds.
- i realized a few crushes today: always the hatch 944, the down and dirty 914, and a few others...
whiskey is water, and water is... wine.
