...i never thought i'd go this far, without a star to cross the seas -
so far from shores i'd left behind, still far from shores i've yet to reach...

yesterday, i was asked why not have our dealer do the Cayman's oil change. why? and i had to think on it. i mean really, why not? we are a bit frugal, as of need and whim, but not that frugal. and then the image of their hands, and her fluids... no, not that kind of image, but more one of the dog baring its teeth. there is something about this car. perhaps because she is our first Porsche (something this one has always dr0oled a bit over)... because of the whole swapping out the short shift...

just the crack talkin...

after things blowing up this weekend (including but not limited to our kitchen sink piping, and our dog - explosive little guy he is) i find today that i have missed the second to last - penultimate if i may - local AutoCross for 2007. next weekend marks the last until March 2008.

why does this shiver my timbers?

- we were going to take in Lottie to have her 3rd break light fixture replaced, in loan for a Boxter which i am/was very excited about...conveniently on a Friday...

lapis blue, et al.

Posted 10-23-2007 at 10:26 PM by grrlsix
yes, i am afraid lapis blue has stolen my heart.

i have found myself eying blue cars lately - especially after the Zone7 Meet/Greet. funny how the Porsche dealership listed our Lottie as "blue" today when we brought her in. the Atlas Grey changes color in different lighting - at times a cool dark purple blue, deep grey or metallic black.

this color shift will need to satisfy me for now, but there are inklings for a lapis blue CS in the future.

bleargh.
i thought we would make it to/from Vegas without any trouble. we had three car issues, two of the three annoyances were my fault - still kicking myself, over...and over.

1. horizontal scratch on the middle of the passenger side front windshield. big deep scratch. go ahead, run your fingernail over it, shake your head and give me your best "you're screwz0red" look. i think i gave it to myself quite a few times too. titanium wedding band versus glass...

$100 - No Front Plate

Posted 10-16-2007 at 06:51 AM by grrlsix
it is reasonable to use my temporary disability pass to park the Cayman in HP spaces, as well as at a meter all day for free. i have had the knee surgery and have earned it. i also work to put up my share of the payments on the Porsche.

seems like a meter-maid had a bad day and as they could not give me a ticket for my expired meter, decided to pick on the no front plate instead.

*sigh*

and just before a long road trip too.
nothing better to make...
