Alignment Day

Well, after a few weeks of searching, I finally found a shop to do my wheel alignment. It's a bit surprising to me how many alignment places either don't want to work on a Porsche, or (more likely) don't want to do an alignment to the owner's specs - which is what I was requesting when I called around.

Anyway, I found a shop which, while a bit more out of my way, was willing to do a "performance alignment" on my car. I gave them beez's recommended specs for a street/track compromise alignment on my otherwise stock suspension. 90 minutes later, they delivered the car with the results below:

I don't think the car has ever had an alignment previously (I bought it used at 14K miles), so I guess I shouldn't be too surprised at the "Before" measurements.

I'm pretty happy with the "After" camber and toe settings, though they could still be a little more aggressive, and I'm not sure why they couldn't get more caster on the fronts (not that I'm even sure what caster does for that matter - maybe someone could explain to me why more is better?).

Anyway, should be a little improvement over the cockeyed alignment I was driving on. Now, when is that Softronic Race Plenum going to get here?!
